WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?

This portal is designed to help share more ideas, expertise, and resources globally to overcome these environmental challenges that ultimately affect us all. It allows people from around the world to come together to learn and participate whether that be by leading conservation projects, volunteering time, offering their skills, technology transfer, partnering, donating or reducing their own impact on the planet. The idea is that this will lead to a steady stream of impactful projects long after our journey has finished.

We understand that human needs must be addressed in order to achieve enduring protection for other species and the natural world. Communities surrounding critical habitats cannot begin to protect their natural heritage when they are struggling to secure food, safe drinking water and basic health needs. We also need to focus on the vital component of education in conservation, awareness and the elimination of poverty.

After taking time to research the global conservation ecosystem, our initial plan was to create our own platform that brought everything together under one roof and filled in the blanks. The idea was that this would make it easier for people to engage and ultimately take action. After a lot of thought and discussion, we decided that it would be smarter to form partnerships and work with existing platforms and portals thereby reducing duplication of effort and just make it easier to find them all!
